BROMLEY BOYS’ BRIGADE CAMP SITE
The campsite “Lower Dean, Peacock Hill” is situated at Whitecliffe Bay on the Isle of Wight within five minutes walking distance of a lovely award winning sandy beach. The site is maintained by the 13th Bromley Boys Brigade and has been an approved site since 1966 and it continues to make improvements to cater for all types of groups. The site has two permanent buildings one housing modern cooking facilities and quartermastering and the other housing showers and flush toilet facilities (see pictures). Mains gas and electric feed these two buildings. The site is open from July through to early September each year and caters for groups up to 120. Full details of the site facilities & contacts, pictures, charges & availability, and booking form and conditions, can be found by clicking on the relevant links.
Please Note: The site is not available to hire for individual family holidays
Bromley Camp Site
Due to the on-going pandemic which clearly is not going to be over for some considerable time yet; the continuing restrictions on the movement of people and that The Boys’ Brigade nationally have advised that no camps are to be run this year, the Campsite Committee took the decision in April to close our site for the 2020 camping season.
This is the first time this has every happened and the decision has been made to primarily safeguard children’s wellbeing along with staff, some of whom will be within the cohort of vulnerable adults as well as advice noted above.
All organisations camping on our site in 2020 have been informed and we are pleased to say that they have all rebooked for either 2021 or 2022.
We are still taking bookings for 2021 and 2022, but are filling up quickly, so please do get in touch if you are considering using our site.
