We are a church seeking to express the mission of Jesus in a contemporary context. Our vision is to see the values of Kingdom faith and living become a reality in our community.
The Temple being a historic church in the area is also famous for its Boy’s and Girls Brigade and their award winning band “The Pacemakers”.
It is also an active member of “Churches Together in the Crays” which includes The Oak Community Church , The Cray Valley Benefice
St Andrews, St Mary and St Paulinus, St Barnabas C of E ( St Paul ’s Cray), Our Lady of the Cray’s RC, the Salvation Army, St Paul ’s (Giggs Hill) URC, Kings Church and St Andrew’s C of E , sharing together various worship and community events and projects.
Family Worship begins at 11:00am and usually lasts about an hour.
Most services use projection software and sound system and include our resident singing group.
Baptisms/infant dedications as well as regular Parade Services are often integrated into the morning service.
Holy Communion is celebrated on the 3rd Sunday morning. Everyone who loves the Lord Jesus is welcome to share with us, whether a member of the Temple Church or not.
Our young people also share in the first part of the morning service, leaving for Junior Church at about 11.20 am.
We also offer a Creche area/service for under 3’s which they can enjoy during the church service (Of course, this is not compulsory).
