Who is this event for?

This event is for anyone who has a connection to the Temple Brigades’ & would like to help us celebrate 50 years joint camping

I can’t make Sunday, can I come and visit on another day.

I am afraid not. We have chosen Sunday as the day most people can make.  (Visitors can disrupt the running of camp, which is why we have invited everyone on the Sunday, when we are able to welcome you & share worship and food with all our guests)

What is for lunch?

We will be serving a buffet lunch: Sandwiches, a selection of hot ‘finger food’ & cakes

How much are you charging for the day?

We are not charging anything for the day. We do ask for donations towards the cost of the lunch

Note: The price for the coach only covers the cost of the coach and ferry

I have memories / pictures from my time at camp that I would like to share

Please send an e-mail to templebrigades50thcamp@virginmedia.com and it will be passed onto Keith to be included in the ‘history of camp’ booklet

How do I purchase the history of camp booklet?

This will be available to purchase on the day

I have my own tent; can I camp on the site?

Sorry we are not able to accommodate other people camping on the site (There are other camping sites in the area)

Where can I park?

To protect the entrance of the field, we hope to be able to utilize field next to us. There will be people on the day to direct you

Can I stay on site, Sunday evening and join you for dinner?

I am afraid not, we ask everyone depart site by 18:00

Can I come down in my own car?

Yes you are welcome to. We advise you to book your ferry as early as possible. (The ferry cost for a car would be around £100)

How do I book ferry tickets

If you are coming from the Temple area we recommend Wight link from Portsmouth to Fishbourne

If you are nearer to Southampton we recommend using Red funnel from Southampton to Cowes

www.wightlink.co.uk

www.redfunnel.co.uk

What will the cost of the coach be?

At the current time the cost of the coach, which includes the ferry is estimated to be no-more than £25

Once we have confirmed the costs we will notify everyone who expressed an interest

Will the coach be stopping dinner?

No, the coach goes straight to the ferry & will be getting back to the temple around 8pm. There will be food available to purchase on the ferry.

What time can I come onsite on the Sunday?

We ask that you don’t come onto the site until after 10:30 as the camp needs to have breakfast, then tent competition
